How to become a Teacher and what all exams has to be passed for being a Teacher or Professor in India?

Teaching is a very respected job in India and given more respect as compared to any other job. Teachers are treated as Parents. The child starts learning since his birth, through parents especially the mother is the first teacher. As now the times change and new institutions coming to make life easier. As an earlier woman not allowed to do a job, they only have to stay at home and prepare food do all house chores, take care of in-laws, husband, and children. As due to industrialization, Urbanization, and Modernization, the woman also more aware of their independence and rights, so they started doing jobs,  the family pattern also changed from joint to nuclear so new institution like daycare has emerged which act as an alternative institution of family and provide care, knowledge to children. Teachers are always important in India, but there are lots of changes one can observe in their roles and patterns. Like earlier, only school teachers and professors are in notice. But now new fields in teaching like daycare teacher, Dance teacher, Yoga Teacher, pre-primary teacher, primary and secondary teacher, higher secondary teacher, professor and many more.
How to become a Teacher and what all exams has to be passed for being a Teacher or Professor in India

 Let's discuss the Qualifications require to become a teacher in India.

1] Pre-primary teacher:- 

If you would like to become a pre-primary teacher, who can teach Nursery, Jr.kg, and Sr.kg so you required some qualifications and degrees.
HSC+Ecce [depand on School]
HSC+B.Ed
BA/B.com/B.SC+Ecced
The minimum qualification has to be HSC than after complete your B.Ed.No matter which stream you have, Arts/commerce/science you can do Ecce after your graduation as well. You can also get a job if you have HSC+Ecce it depends on the type of school.

2] Primary+Secondary teacher:-

for becoming a teacher for the primary and secondary level you compulsory have to complete your Graduation in any field, BA/B.COM/B.SC= 50%[minimum]
for the primary level, you can also do HSC+B.ED. 
for the secondary level, you have to do graduation+B.Ed/ HSC+BEIED [Bachelor of Elementary Education Degree].

3] Higher-Secondary teacher/ Junior college level:-

For becoming a Post-graduation teacher one should complete their Master's Degree in a particular subject.


4] Senior College level:- 

For becoming a graduate-level teacher one should Complete their Ph.D. degree and pass certain exams like NET, PGT.

5] Special Education Teacher

The teacher who deals with Children with special needs.
compulsory Graduation in any streams, Arts/commerce/science. After graduation one can perceive certain degrees.

6] Dance Teacher

If you want to become a dance teacher at the school level than after completing HSC, you should earn some certification or Diploma in Dance teaching.
If you want to become a dance teacher at the college level or want to open your dance academy, so you have to do a BA in dance education [BADE] and MA in performing dance you need to have a specialization in dance education, fine arts and performing arts. 

7] Yoga Teacher

Competitive Exams for becoming teacher and Professor.

How to become a Teacher and what all exams has to be passed for being a Teacher or Professor in India

1] TET [Teacher Eligibility Test]

Teacher Eligibility Test is an entrance exam conducted by the state or central government of India. This exam makes teachers eligible to teach standard 1 to 8. Teachers who want to apply for Indian Governments Schools have to compulsory clear this test. This test involves 2 papers- 1st paper for standard 1 to 5 and 2nd paper for 6 to 8 standard.
The exam is based on the Government of India's National Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education and is a mandatory qualification for teachers including the B.T.C (D.El.Ed), B.Ed, and B.El.Ed, are eligible to take the test. Candidates must score over 60% to pass.

2] Central Teacher Eligibility Test [CTET]

CTET is conducted by CBSE board [Central Board of Secondary Education] twice in a year for teacher position for Grade 1 to 8. Two types of CTET test papers in the exam, which includes Paper-I and Paper-II. Teachers who plan to teach classes I-V to need to give Paper-I and Teachers who plan to teach classes VI-VIII need to take Paper-II. 3] Primary Teacher Exam [PRT]

PRT is an Exam for appointing suitable teachers in Government schools in India. This exam helps to shortlists those primary teachers who teach grades 1 to 5. For this Exam, the candidate should be passed HSC with 50% and Graduation with 50% minimum and also candidate able to teach in English and Hindi both. The candidate also had appeared for CTET.

4] Post- Graduate Teacher Exam [PGT]

PGT is an Exam given by those candidates who are done their post-graduation and also done B. Ed or M.Ed then you become a postgraduate teacher and after passing this exam can teach up to grade 12.

5] Trained Graduate Teacher [TGT]

TGT is a title given to a graduate who completed their training in teaching. TGT teachers are qualified to teach Grade 1 to 10 and can teach all subjects.

6] National Eligibility Test [TET]

The NET test is also known as UGC NET, this is a test conducting to select eligible candidates for the post of Assistant professor in Universities and Colleges in India. This is the toughest exam in India and the passing ratio is 3/4 %. The NET exam is mandatory for Universities and Colleges.
